Megan and I met on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, at a mutual friend’s Kentucky Derby Day party in Denver, Colorado. We were in the jacuzzi with a few others when we struck up a conversation, which quickly led to a night out at the bars, dancing, and getting to know each other. Before long, I was invited to Hilton Head for our first trip together. The start of our relationship wasn’t exactly straight out of a fairy tale—there were ups and downs. It took me some time to fully realize just how special Megan was and how important it was for me to recognize that. Megan, however, never wavered. She was the one who continued to pursue me when I was uncertain, and I’m so grateful she did. Ultimately, she helped me see that we were the perfect match. This decision, without a doubt, is the absolute right one. I couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of my life with Megan and to build a family and a life together. Every day, Megan shows me through her love, loyalty, and determination that she will not only be an amazing mother to our future children but the perfect partner and wife to me. I promise to be the best husband I can be for her. Thank you, Megan, for never giving up on us. I’m truly thrilled to begin this next chapter of our life together.

Joey and I met in 2014 during our new hire class at Expressjet Airlines. More than a decade later—after a dozen countries, countless vacations, parties, rounds of golf, ski trips, mountain biking adventures, hikes, and his legendary Christmas parties—we’ve stuck together. Joey is the life of the party, and he’ll be the first to tell you that he owes most of his success to me! Although his wedding was too small to invite me, I made sure to save him a spot at mine, but seriously, Joey is the reason most of us know each other and for that I say cheers! Love you, brother.

Donald and I met at Army  Flight School at Fort Rucker, Alabama, in 2011. From there, we spent years navigating the skies together— both in the military, and later at our first airline, Expressjet. Along the way, we’ve racked up a lifetime of stories: travels abroad, concerts, boat outings, and more than a few questionable drink choices! Through it all, Donald has always had my back, and his friendship is one I know will last forever. Love you, brother—cheers to many more adventures!

Alex and I met back in 2018 at one of his and Eddie Beaudry’s house parties, and over the years our friendship has grown through shared travels, great times, and countless memories. I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know Alex—he’s a great guy, and let’s be honest, every group needs a tall one 😉.

More importantly, Alex has a genuinely big heart and is someone who shows up for the people he cares about. Whether it’s traveling together, sharing a laugh, or just being there when it matters, he’s the kind of friend you’re lucky to have in your corner. I’m grateful for our friendship and look forward to making many more memories together as Megan and I continue to grow in our relationship.

Alex Giorgi 

Jason Strobbe—the best, my best man, and I’m proud to call him that. Jason and I met on a chairlift in the winter of 2018. I distinctly remember thinking, “Why is this old guy sitting next to me?” Turns out, that chairlift ride kicked off a lifelong friendship.

Since then, Jason and I have traveled the world together and created some of our favorite memories—especially our legendary Europe ski trip through the Alps. In about ten days, we skied six countries. We were on a mission. One highlight was Malbun Ski Resort in Liechtenstein: a tiny ski town with four lifts and one very cozy restaurant and bar at the end of town—perfect.

Over the past seven years, and after many bourbons and scotches, Jason and I have grown incredibly close. Jason has always had my back, no matter where we are or what kind of situation we find ourselves in. We share a lifetime of stories that are best remembered fondly and told selectively.

I’m truly honored to have him in my life. Cheers to you, Jason. Love ya, man.

Jason Strobbe

David Doll—where do I even begin? We honestly wouldn’t be here today without David’s parents and my parents, who somehow helped turn a junior-high rivalry into a lifelong friendship. We grew up as best friends, though oddly enough, we started out as enemies back in junior high. He couldn’t stand me at first, but once we actually got to know each other, we became inseparable all through high school and even the couple of years we spent together at Liberty University.

Some of my favorite memories involve Dave’s Jeep and his boat—a Contender that somehow carried us into countless adventures. From off-roading near the dump in our hometown to learning how to drive stick shift in a mall parking lot, Dave was always right there. And then there was that one night cruising the intracoastal on the boat… let’s just say it was memorable, unpredictable, and probably best left exactly where it belongs—in the past.

We lived together in college and had our own place, which is where we really let loose, made incredible memories, and learned a lot about life along the way. Dave will always hold a special place in my heart, along with his amazing wife Maggie and their three kids. Even though we don’t live near each other now, I truly believe the universe will bring us back together one day so our kids can grow up knowing each other too—and I can’t wait for that.

Tyler Mason and I met around 2018 at Eddie and Alex’s party—thanks to Joey Prieto for bringing us all together. Since then, Tyler and I have made some truly wild memories. I’ve traveled dozens of countries with this guy and shared some of the best times of my life along the way.

Tyler isn’t just a genuine friend—he’s a loyal one, and I’m incredibly grateful to know him. His spirit animal is definitely a raccoon… mostly because he’s always on the hunt for a late-night snack. From hiking 14’ers to nightclubs in Bangkok, mountain biking trips in Fruita to hotel rooms in Italy, and everywhere in between, we’ve built memories that will last a lifetime.

I’m beyond excited to have you up at the altar next to me, brother. Here’s to many more years of adventures ahead.

Tyler Mason 

Ben and I met sometime around 2018, and not long after that he earned the permanent title of Brother Ben. Since then, we’ve racked up more adventures than I can count—both outside the United States and right in our own backyard. From mountain roads during my RV-living days to questionable decisions that somehow turned into great stories, Ben was always there.

The Covid years somehow brought us even closer (shared chaos will do that), and from Bangkok to Bali, we kept finding ourselves side by side, collecting memories I wouldn’t trade for anything. Through it all, Ben has always had my back—no questions asked, no matter the country, time zone, or situation.

I’m grateful to call him a friend, a brother, and a lifelong adventure partner. Here’s to many more stories we probably shouldn’t tell, and many more miles ahead. L’chaim! 🍻

Ben Korobkin 

Eddie and I met at one of his parties back
in 2018, when he was living with Alex Giorgi. We briefly met on day one of training at Expressjet back in 2014, but the party was when we really met. We became close not long after the party and quickly started traveling the world together. COVID somehow brought us even closer—turns out being stuck inside together will do that—but we still managed to find plenty of adventures. We've been to many countries, made countless memories, and lived to tell the stories. I truly cherish our friendship and am proud to call Eddie a friend for life.

Eddie Beaudry 

Brenden—Megan’s older brother and, without question, her favorite sibling. Over the past three years, Brenden and I have grown closer, and I’m truly grateful for that. Getting to know him has shown me what a genuine, solid, and dependable person he is.

Brenden is an incredible husband to Michelle and an even better father to their four kids: Ellie, Jackson, Lincoln, and the newest addition, Madison. I’ve grown to love the kids and the entire family more than I ever expected. They bring so much energy, laughter, and joy into every room they enter, and it’s impossible not to be drawn into their world.

Brenden’s dedication to his family is something I deeply admire. We’ve found common ground on the golf course, where I’ve discovered he’s both competitive and remarkably patient. We’ve also shared many family hikes, creating memories that feel simple but deeply meaningful. Those moments have helped turn time together into a real connection.

I look forward to continuing to grow our relationship as brothers and as friends. It means a great deal to me to have him standing at the altar next to me. Cheers to you, brother—here’s to family, growth, and many more years of adventures together.

Brenden Van Buren 

Dana and I first met Jules during a long weekend trip to Moab. I spent most of that trip "expanding my horizons" on The Whole Enchilada—an intense 32-mile downhill bike trail that was definitely not Jules’s cup of tea—so we didn’t bond immediately. In fact, to this day, I’m still listed in her phone as "Megan Moab."

Our friendship truly took flight a few weeks later on the slopes of Vail. We eventually became seasonal roommates; Jules called us "symbiotic" because she’d spend her summers at my place in Denver, and I’d spend my winters with her in Vail. Now that we’re both back in Denver, that symbiosis has evolved into a deep, effortless friendship that I value so much. Most importantly, she has officially earned the title of Sophie’s favorite aunt!

Julianne (Jules) Kumin-Hachmann

Ashley and I have shared a chemistry of "opposites attract" since we were toddlers. While I was the one diving head-first into the baby pool, Ashley was the steady force keeping us grounded. Our friendship truly solidified in 7th grade; while others were off partying, we were busy building our own adventures—making jewelry and hitting the ski slopes. Even then, our differences were clear: I lived for the downhill thrill while she preferred the endurance of Nordic skiing.

Ashley became the sister I never had, joining my family on legendary, high-octane trips to Hilton Head, Jackson Hole, and the Jersey Shore. We packed our days so full of activities that no one else would have even survived the itinerary! We even had a true tale of the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"- until one day she lost them I believe (most would be surprised it was not me who did. Although I was heartbroken to miss her wedding during the height of COVID, I couldn’t imagine saying "I do" without my best girl by my side.

Ashley Baronner

Lindsay and I go all the way back to our toddler days at the Hollidaysburg YMCA dance class. While Lindsay embraced her theatrical side and outshone me in the studio, we stayed inseparable through every stage of life. She eventually traded her dance shoes for golf spikes when she joined the Lady Tigers Golf Team—though I will unofficially deem her as Chief PR Officer because she made sure we were well represented in the Yearbook and had swag. 

From navigating North Carolina theme parties in college to legendary visits in NYC and countless summers in Hilton Head (she was even there for Dana’s and my first trip!), she’s been a constant. I was honored to stand by her side for her big day, and now, thirty-something years after our dance debuts, I’m thrilled to have her standing by mine!

Lindsay Kimble-Carney

Addie and I met freshman year as teammates on the Wake Forest Ladies Club Golf team. Since a women’s club team was a novelty at the time, we had a blast crashing the men’s tournaments and holding our own. Our post-grad years took us to Boston together, and once I moved to Denver, we kicked off a tradition of annual Colorado visits and international ski trips. While Addie only skis when she’s with me, she rarely actually skis with me—she’s mastered the art of the mountain lifestyle on her own terms! She’s been trying to officially marry into the VB family for years, but we’re unfortunately (for her) running out of eligible candidates.

Adelaide (Addie) Lupo 

Sara is one of my longest-standing Denver friends, and our origin story is a true Colorado cliché. We were set up on a "friend date" by a mutual run club pal who insisted we become "bike gal friends." Our first ride was a trial by fire: Sara is a powerhouse on wheels, and she has a rule that the wheels never stop turning and the questions never stop flowing. While hitting 20 mph in the thin oxygen of the Rockies, I was forced to recount my entire life story!

If you haven’t met Sara yet, be prepared—she’s as curious as she is kind. She has become my ultimate activity partner, from world-class ski trips to Colorado's most grueling bike climbs. I am truly blessed to call this "machine" my friend. Bonus: she’ll bake your favorite dessert for your birthday, and it will be the best thing you’ve ever tasted. Thanks for always being my sounding board, Sara!

Sara Perlmutter

It’s fair to say Dana and I might not be at the altar today if it weren't for Brittany. She (and Alex) folded me into the "Den Crew" (Dana's OG friend group). and Britt was the ultimate cheerleader for Dana and me when our summer fling turned into forever. Before my time, Dana recounts many stories of Brittany as the chef of the friend group. Whether she’s organizing the next trip or hand-rolling pasta for a dinner party, she always makes sure everyone is taken care of—even if her "gluten-free" efforts are occasionally more about the thought than the execution! From Colorado trails to world travels, I’m so grateful for her support in this next big adventure.

Brittany Reid 

Emily and her husband, Joey, are two of the most important people and longest-held friends in Dana’s life. After meeting Joey first, I spent some time wondering where his "better half" was hiding—but once I finally met Emily, it all clicked. We are two peas in a pod: we both could skip the "life of the party" spotlight in favor of good books, peaceful moments, and smaller groups. Whether we’re mountain biking, hiking with the dogs, or sharing a delicious meal, Emily is a breath of fresh air.

We were so thrilled to welcome baby Lyla to the crew in Summer 2024! Watching Emily and Joey become such incredible parents has definitely given Dana some "baby fever," and we can’t wait for a lifetime of family adventures together.

As Dana’s closest sister in age, Danielle has always held a special place in his life, and she quickly found one in mine, too. When I first met her, I felt an immediate sense of belonging—she and her husband, Anthony, were so incredibly welcoming when Dana introduced me as his first girlfriend since high school.

Danielle is a true "God-send," navigating the beautiful chaos of raising four boys with a level of grace and poise I find genuinely inspiring (and I’m still convinced she has a superpower for keeping a spotless house amidst it all!). As Dana and I step into this next chapter, I feel so lucky to have her as a sister to look up to. I truly can’t wait to grow closer and share the journey of family life with her by my side.

Danielle Marchione Valletta 

As Dana’s eldest sister, Mary serves as a beautiful anchor for the family. She and her husband, Jameson Sr., have raised their five children with an admirable blend of discipline and devotion, keeping their hearts and sights firmly set on Jesus. The fruit of that love is so evident in their children, whose kindness and warmth radiate whenever we’re together.

Being welcomed in the Reeder's home for the Marchione family Thanksgiving this year was a blessing;  I felt a profound sense of peace knowing that this would soon be my family, too. I am so grateful to have Mary’s example of faith and motherhood to guide me as I join this wonderful family.
